The compactness of the device allows the modules to be built into industrial handhelds, smartphone accessories and other compact form factor devices and to comply with and operate in both European and US regulatory environments. The radio frequency core of the module is based on the Impinj E310 IC and the E710 IC, which allow to achieve a high reading speed and to be used in dense reader and dense tag environments for first class nominal performance. Thanks to its low power consumption, this module is especially designed to be easily integrated into battery-operated devices. With a programmable output power of 10 dBm up to 25 or respectively 30 dBm, the reader can detect tags at a distance of more than 2 or 5 m (depending on the module, antenna size and tag). They have the same dimensions and mounting holes as the Hadron module to ease the transition to the new modules for existing customers. The new modules feature a MOLEX connector for power and data communication and - depending on the model - 1 or 4 MMCX antenna connectors. The recently unveiled Lepton modules are embedded readers of the easy2read© product line an ultra-compact reader for RAIN RFID applications with low power and high performance. With the introduction of these new 4 products, CAEN RFID has one of the widest offerings of modules based on the new Impinj Ex10 series chips. The modules are based on the recently released Lepton3 and Lepton7 SMD modules and are designed to facilitate use by customers who do not use automated production. CAEN RFID unveils 4 new RAIN RFID reader modules: Lepton3x1, Lepton3x4, Lepton7x1 and Lepton7x4.
